High Cross College radiated warmth and generosity as students and staff celebrated Halloween with a Charity Fancy Dress day before the mid-term break.
Their collective efforts culminated in a remarkable fundraising total of €1,775.80 for KarmaFlights, translating to an awe-inspiring 255,458 Nepalese Rupees.
KarmaFlights, a revered charity based in Nepal, is dedicated to closing the gaps in education and healthcare access. The substantial sum raised by High Cross College will have a profound impact by providing sustainable menstrual hygiene packs to over 500 girls. These packs, designed to last 4-5 years, will empower these young girls to continue their education uninterrupted, enabling them to thrive academically.
A heartfelt appreciation extends to the dedicated student council for orchestrating this unforgettable event, to Ms Forde for her unwavering commitment to the cause, and to every individual who contributed to this noble endeavour. Witnessing the active participation and awareness among students regarding global humanitarian needs was truly heartening and inspiring.
